Hallo!
I really enjoyed thw Hamster page. 
I had a lovely little hamster named Kruemel a few years ago.
He was a funny little boy who really had character. Always when I
entered the room wher the cage stood and he was awake, he 
I only needed to open the cage and let him come on my hand.
I never thought before, that it is possible to get such a 
close relationship to such a little animal. When he died, 
I was very sad for some time. Now I have two rabbits because 
I don`t think there will ever be a hamster like Kruemel 
anymore. 
Greetings to all hamster-loving people all over the world.
And don~t forget: It is not necessary to have MANY hamsters
if you really know a hamster like Kruemel.

I liked your Hamster F.A.Q. a lot, because I have 4 baby hamsters at home. The hamster's names are: Ross (my sister's), Mr.Bighead (my mom's), Tiny (mine), and Matt (mine again). Hi hamster lovers all over the world,
I am a 13 years old and I have  had hamsters for about
 3 years. My hamsterettes have had several litters
and I gave away most of them. I have 4 cages., 2 large 
and 2 small. I had a favourite hamster, who was born by
me, called "Shush". He lived for almost 2 years and was
very cute and friendly. I now have 5 hamsters and I may
try to breed for more. 
I aslo have a dog called "Lady". She like to sniff around
the hamster cages and to eat their food. She gets along
with the hamsters very well when I let one out of the 
cage near her.
I am very happy to have found a hamster site on the
Internet, and that there are so many other hamster
lovers out there.

   On my earlier message I wrote that I hate Andy.
Well,I don't really he is just to rough. He and Becky 
together had three Hamsters over the last three years.

Hello ! This is my first time into this page. I think 
it´s great to find Hamster information on the WEB.
I have 3 hamster at home. Their names are Susana, 
Mafalda and Osa and all are females. I had a male called
Manolo but he died of a wet tail. Once Susana had 7 babies
but all died during a cold night. I have a question.
I want susana to have babies again, so what specials cares
are needed for the babies to grow up well ( tell me about 
food, place , anything.. ). I would thank your answer .

Hello from Bret's World!  Bret is a 2-year-old,
golden brown, short-haired hamster.  He lives with his
cousin Harry, an orange tabby cat, and his folks, Cindy
and me (Alex).

Cindy and I were next-door neighbors when I bought
Bret.  One day he jumped out of my hands and landed on
the kitchen floor.  He lay there stunned for a few
seconds, then got up and limped around.  I was afraid I
might have seriously hurt him, so I went and got Cindy,
who used to raise hamsters, to check him out.  After
that, we started dating (Cindy and I, that is).

The first time we introduced Bret to Harry (Cindy's
cat), Bret chased Harry out of the room, then tried to
steal Harry's Meow Mix.

We also live with a tortoiseshell cat, Caroline, who
spends far too much time staring at Bret's cage.  I
used to worry that she wanted to eat Bret, but this
week I gave Bret some puffed rice and he spilled it and
she ate it, so maybe she's just waiting for a hand-out
from him.

Hello, I'd like to tell everybody about my dwarf hamsters, I've got 6 of them. A mom and dad and 4 childeren of about 6 weeks. When they were about 3 weeks old, their mum started biting them, so I putted them in another cage. Now they're biting each other. What should I do????
Maybe I'm gonna sell them, but I like them so much I just can't... One of the four is 'Ukkie' (Dutch), his name is 'Ukkie', because he is smaller then the others. Ukkie means little one or Shorty or something like that.
Most of the nights I can't even sleep, because they're always biting and screaming.

Story... Three weeks ago i went to a local petshop  to buy dog food for my four Boxers.
         but something cought my eyes. it was a furry HAMSTER looking at me,he was so  
         cute. as i look down to get a closer to look at him i notice that he was not happy
         and look sad, he was really in a bad shape. as i turn away from him and went
         to get what i really came for, he started to scratch the glass.i bought the stuff
         and started to go home, my mind was on the cute hamster,the sad face that he had
         tears came down. so i stop went back to the petshop.as i went in, i saw the hamster
         he look at me and started to scratch the glass. so i went and bought everything he needed
         to make he happy(food,play city,fun house,town house etc.)i spend that day $149 on him but
         it was worth it.now he is happy with he`s new four friends(Boxers) he loves to play with them.
         the Hamster name is Willie.he is now the master of this house. he took over the dogs room(inside my home)
         now my the dogs sleep outside the room while Willie sleeps,plays inside the room.soon he will kick me out of 
         room too *smile*   Hamsters RULES!!!!!!

confuse things, he's chocolate brown all over, except 
for white front paws, a cream bottom lip and cream
rings round his eyes - hence his name ("Swanee, how I

My hamster's name is Taffy.  I've had her for about a
year and a half.  She is light brown with a white ring
around her belly (like an oreo).  Since I have asthma 
and allergies, hamsters are the only furry pets I can
have.  So, Taffy is like a member of the family, just
like other people's dogs or cats are.  I think that 
hamsters are some of the best pets a person can have.
Taffy has even learned how to sit up when you tell her
to.  The day Taffy passes on will be a very sad one and
I wish it would never come.  Some people just don't
understand how you can get so attached to these
wonderful animals, but I'm glad there's a page like 
this where I know everyone understands.  I love you 
Taffy...forever!

We bought our first hamster (siberain dwarf)  Harvey
about 7 mos. ago. He looked lonely so we bought
what we thought was another boy hamster, well 
what a surprise. Diane and Harvey have 8 kids now.
Psyco, Digger, Sniffer, Speedy, Chewer, Digger,
Will and Phil are now 4 mos. old.
We take them every where with us. We would love 
to hear from some other people who take their 
hamsters on vacation with them. Who could of know 
you could love 10 furry creatures so much.
